Acer has kept itself ahead of others at the IFA by launching products a little earlier, kicking off the event with a launch of the Acer Liquid S2, the Acer Iconia A3 tablet device and also, a 24-inch All-in-one running the Android OS. The DA241HL is a touch machine that comes with a huge 24 inch touchscreen and running the Android 4.2 Jelly Bean OS.
Under the hood, there’s a Quad-core Tegra 3 processor, which has a common home in the high-end smartphones, and according to the company, this device is “designed to offer users the same familiar experience as with tablets and smartphones,”. This is the first Android AiO supporting multi-tasking, and users having an access to the Google Play Store in the device, the functionality of it can be extended to act as a monitor complete with two-point touch.
The DA241HL from Acer is going to be made available in the market from October, and the main advantage of this one would be that the user will have all the access to the OS and interface just like on the Android smartphones and tablet devices.
The NVIDIA chipset would do the best in providing an experience of gaming on the device, which can all be downloaded through the Play Store. The device provides access and allows customization of the apps and settings for a total of 5 different users. It can also connect to any PC with Windows 8 via an HDMI port or USB cable becoming a 2-point Touch Display.
Along with this one, Acer came up with a range of devices which include Acer Aspire U5-610, which has got a 23-inch full HD display and other awesome specs, Aspire Z3-105 (another 23-inch device), Aspire Z3-610 which again has a similar 23-inch display. The DA241HL is the only 24-inch device that was announced by the company at the IFA 2013 in Berlin.
The price at which the device is going to be available, is €429 and it’s going to be available from October 2013. We’ll get you more details from the event very soon.
