Alcatel has recently launched a new tablet called as Alcatel Pop 7 LTE in the U.S. The tablet features entry -level features like 7-inch display, Snapdragon 210 SoC, 5MP camera and 4G-LT support. As teased earlier, the brand has today unveiled a mid-range smartphone called as Alcatel Flash Plus 2. The smartphone was earlier spotted on GFXBench listing and is the successor of the Alcatel Flash Plus that launched back in 2014. The premium looks & powerful features make the Flash Plus 2 a complete package.
Coming to the specifications part, the Alcatel Flash Plus 2 flaunts a 5.5-inch (1080×1920 pixels) full-HD IPS display with 401ppi as pixel density and MiraVision image technology 2.0 for the great visual experience. Under the hood, it packs 64-bit MediaTek MT6755 Helio P10 octa-core processor clocked at 1.8GHz paired with Mali-T860 GPU. It has 2GB/3GB of RAM, 16GB/32GB of built-in storage and also includes a dedicated microSD card slot for further expansion of memory upto 128GB.
It supports dual sim dual standby and runs on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow based company’s customized UI overlaid. The smartphone looks beautiful in hand with all-metal unibody design and comes with rounded edges that offer nice grip to hold. It features a 360-degree recognition fingerprint sensor embedded into the physical home button that can unlock the handset in just 0.3 seconds and also comes with Hi-Fi audio chip for terrific sound quality.
On the camera front, the smartphone comes equipped with a 13MP rear camera with PDAF for quick focus, f/2.0 aperture, Realtone dual-LED flash and supports 1080p video recording at 60fps. On the front, it has a 5MP snapper with f/2.2 aperture and LED flash to attract selfie lovers. Connectivity options on the device include 4G-LTE, VoLTE, Wi-Fi, GPS/A-GPS, Bluetooth 4.1 and microUSB 2.0 port with OTG support. The handset comes backed by a 3000mAh battery that is rated to offer upto 15 hours of talk time and upto 405 hours of standby time.
It also supports fast charging technology with the provided 9V/1.67A power adapter. It measures 152.6 x 76.4 x 8.2 mm weighs around 157 grams and comes in Venus Gold and Luna Silver color option. The Alcatel Flash Plus 2 is priced at $160 (approx Rs. 10,675) for the 2GB RAM version while the 3GB RAM variant costs $190 (approx Rs, 12,680).
