Alcatel has announced the One Touch Idol X+ and it will be launched in India on May 29th. The device was introduced earlier this year in the CES 2014 that was held in Spain along with several other devices like the Alcatel One Touch Pop S3, Pop S7, Pop S9 and many other smart phones. Alcatel also introduced Firefox OS based smartphones earlier and other tablets also. The device will be a dual SIM (Micro SIM) variant with dual Standby.
Alcatel One Touch Idol X+ will flaunt a 5 inch Full HD IPS touchscreen display with 1920 x 1080 pixels resolutions giving a pixel density of 441 ppi and will be coming with the protection of Corning Gorilla Glass 2 screen. The device is powered by an Octa core MediaTek MT6592 processor clocking at 2 GHz, coupled with ARM Mali 450 GPU and 2 GB of RAM. There is a 2500 mAh battery on the back of the device to power it expected to deliver up to 27 hours of talk time on 2G and 650 hours of 2G standby and up to 36 hours of continuous music playback.
The Alcatel One Touch Idol X+ has an on-board memory of 2 16 GB that can be further extended up to 32 GB via microSD and will feature a 13 MP auto focus camera on rear with LED flash that is capable of Full HD video recording. There is a 2 MP camera on the front for video calling, Skype calls and selfies. The connectivity of the device includes 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, DLNA, Wi-Fi direct Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS. Other than these, it has a 3.5 mm audio jack along with FM radio and the dimensions of it are at 140.4 × 69.1 × 7.9 mm weighing about 125 grams.
The pricing of Alcatel One Touch Idol X has not been mentioned by the company yet but will be available in White and Blueish Black colour variants.
