Every day or the other we see a tablet launch from an Indian manufacturer and Micromax has certainly is the king among the Indian tablet manufacturers.
Alphabetics eye on the ever growing eLearning sector and on the other side the tablet PC market is also growing at a faster pace. Alphabetics have launched Alpha Edu 1 and Alpha Edu 2 tablet PC which are priced at Rs 9,999 and Rs 14,999 respectively. Around 5,000 tablet PC production of each would be generated and it will go on sale very soon.
Alpha Edu 1 Tablet
Going through the specifications of Alpha Edu 1 tablet it’s would be seen with 7 inches capacitive touchscreen display providing maximum resolution of 800 x 480 pixels. It’s with Android 4.0.3 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system and it would be seen with 1.5 Ghz single core processor along with 512 MB of RAM. The tablet has 4 GB of internal memory storage capacity and also has the 0.3 mega pixel camera.
It’s equipped with 3000 mAh battery powered with Lithium ion and it can last for up to 4 to 5 hours on full charge. The tablet is with dimensions as 182 x 122 x 6.5mm and weights 345 grams. This tablet supports MP4 / AVI / RMVB / XviD / H.263 / H.264 / 1080p HD video format playback and EPUB,PDF,FB2,PDB,CHM,HTML,TXT,UMD,WORD,EXCELL ebook formats. Among the various connectivity options it includes Wi Fi internet connectivity with micro USB connectivity, USB ports and this is evenly priced at Rs 9,999 for sale in India only.
Alpha Edu 2 Tablet
Going through the specifications of Alpha Edu 2 tablet launched in Mumbai, it’s with 10.1 inches capacitive touchscreen display with multi touch input and providing a maximum resolution of 1024 x 600 pixels. It’s powered with 1.5 Ghz single core processor from the unknown chipset and it includes 512 MB of DDR3 RAM. It’s with Android 4.0.3 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system pre-installed on the device and includes various other free Google Apps pre installed on the device as well.
It’s equipped with 6000 mAh battery with Lithium ion providing 5 to 6 hours of battery life and includes 0.3 mega pixel camera on the front side.
The tablet supports playback of various audio, video and ebook files and includes connectivity options via HDMI, micro USB, USB to support external USB 3G dongle. It has the dimensions measuring 267 X 163 X 13.5 mm and weights 650 grams.
Additionally both these tablets are with built in educational content mix of animation and video formats for English. It’s designed for students in schools and colleges from first to twelfth standards across SSC, ICSE and CBSE boards. These educational content are for the one normal curriculum at a time and the cost of reloading content for next year would be Rs 1,000.
