Recently I got updated Kies version 2.20.12014_18. After updating I connected my Galaxy Fit S5670 to check for updates. I got connected but the device update failed reason being ‘Timed Out’. After that the device is not getting connected at all. I tried to fix connection errors by reinstalling the drivers but it is not working. Please guide me to solve this problem. FYI the USB is showing connected and the device starts charging from the PC.

I am finding the phone function of my Galaxy Fit S5670 has slowed down considerably. It takes long time for keypad, contacts to open and dialling takes longer time. Even phone takes a long time to disconnect after completion/ending the call. What is the reason for this and what is the solution? I am shutting down the phone and restarting again everytime this happens but I need a permanent solution.

    Dear Neal,

I did not mean to offend you. But tell me how can I upload contacts in .csv format if I do not receive incoming SMS with vcard attached? There is no intimation of receipt of such mails in Samsung Galaxy Fit S5670.

    • NeaL Pradeep

      September 17, 2011 at 11:49 am

you can upload that CSV file in the Gmail account and then the same can be fetched from your mobile’s Contact app!

    September 10, 2011 at 12:16 pm

Again on SMS with business cards. Ordinary phones display SMS when they receive with V card attached. Why Smartphones such as Samsung Galaxy Fit S5670 (which I am using) does not receive these SMS at all. Question of converting .vcf files to .csv files will arise if we receive these SMS in the first place. Is this the limitation of Android or Smartphones or Samsung? Can someone explain or give solution?

  21. akosistella

    September 7, 2011 at 8:51 pm

Thanks NeaL. I meant, the usual way like most phones do. People texts you bizcards, your phone automatically can open the VCFs and saves them. I need an app that can bridge that, and not go the long route you suggest by downloading to my computer, converting to csv, then uploading via Gmail. That’s one too many steps!

  22. akosistella

    September 7, 2011 at 5:40 pm

Why doesn’t Samsung Galaxy S2 recognize VCF sent to me? Isn’t VCF the standard for biz cards? My phone has been called ‘low-tech’ because of this! Is there any way around this or an app to enable my phone to accept VCF cards? Thanks!

    • NeaL Pradeep

      September 7, 2011 at 5:47 pm

you can convert to csv and then with Gmail you can upload it!

This is about my Samsung Transform which I’ve had for 8 months. Last month–July–I had to do a factory data reset which was recommended by a Sprint tech. Of course, all of my apps were lost, but I got them back via the marketplace. Today I started having similar problems as before. The GPS did not recognize my location so, in Endomondo, it said that I walked 108 miles in 28 minutes. Ha! The need for a factory reset was a problem that I don’t want to deal with again, so, my question is what experiences have others had with a Transform, good and bad? Thanks.
