As the CES 2012 is approaching very faster, more and more devices are rumoured around. 2012 would be the year of tablets again and we have speculation that Asus would be again coming up with a new variant of Android tablet. The recent one which has bites the dust is the 7 inches Asus Eee Memo Pad geared for the launch at CES next week. This unannounced tablet will come with the offering such as 1.2 Ghz dual core Snapdragon processor which is under its hood.

The 7 inches version will follow its recently announced 10 inches Transformer Prime with an additional physical keyboard dock. Though this would be a great addition but it is likely less comfortable. In the past weeks Asus has been in headlines with regards that it will come up with NVIDIA Tegra 3 quad core chip. If that happens to be true then Asus would be the first to get quad core mobile processor and I am sure that Asus would be surely hoping of that. But accordingly to the specifications that have been received of Memo Pad, those rumours still might take time.
The Eee Memo Pad will be spotted with 7 inches capacitive touchscreen display with a maximum resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels. Needless to say that this tablet will be running the Google Android OS and needful to speak it will be with Honeycomb 3.2 version, though one would have expected it with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich but it’s for sure that it will not be with ICS. If it has to come with Ice Cream Sandwich, the news would have been bigger and louder. Coming to Ice Cream Sandwich, the first tablet available is Ainol Novo 7 tablet and we have gone with hands on review of it. It will be powered with Qualcomm 1.2 Ghz dual core Snapdragon processor and expected that tablet will provide internal storage anywhere from 16 GB to 64 Gb and it will be with both Wi-Fi and 3G connectivity options.
Though the photo of Asus Eee Memo Pad is obtained, we are not sure whether it’s of Memo Pad as because all the Asus tablets looks one and the same. We will soon know more about this tablet when its launches and the full specifications of the devices would be available then.
