It’s not too long that we heared about Google coming out straight into the tablet PC market. It’s never too late for them to come out as it has brand value. Though this tablet is coming out in co branding with Asus, was ready for the May 2012 launch as early by Google but they have pulled out of the early release and they have rescheduled it to July as early possible.
The close sources around this project has said that Mountain View Google team is making out some or the other design changes, this was one of the reason to pull off from the early release as no one should point out that its Asus tablet. Secondly, they want to come out with a cheaper and competitive tablet which can easily beat Amazon Kindle Fire. The tablet which they are think to rebrand officially comes at $ 249 by Asus and we know that Kindle Fire comes at $ 199. Few reports earlier pointed that Google is waiting for the tablet to come out with the Jelly Bean Android 5.0 but that’s highly unlikely as Jelly Beam doesn’t look like to come early as that. Google has also pointed out that they are also looking to sell this tablet with full fledged Google Store offering services like music, films and books. Probably this is one of the reason as well to jump in with early launch and Google’s is thinking to make it big.
Going through the specifications we are sure that its gonna come with 7 inches form factor, taking directly on Kindle Fire. Also on the other side Apple is working to come out with 7.8 inches tablet so called iPad mini. So it will be head to head with Kindle Fire vs Google tablet vs Apple iPad mini.
The current tablet is much designed and optimized for Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich and the new version of Android could easily take another six months down the line. Unlike Amazon Kindle Fire, this would be an international launch straightaway and we think that if its priced anything in between $ 149 to $ 199 would be competitive price . On the other side we are think what would be the name of this tablet? Would it be Nexus tablet? or any other! The answers awaits the Google’s next big announcement.
Asustek is working Google to pave a path of success in Android tablet market and partnership with the giant will boost as Google itself is a house hold name. So, concluding the topic, Google is set to roll out its tablets in July this year not in May.
