Update: Asus is all set to launch Zenfone 2 smartphone in India on April 23th. Asus has confirmed that the Zenfone 2 4GB RAM variant will be launched in India. The company has also confirmed that the phone will be available for the open sale and buyers will not need to wait for flash sales or invitations.
Yesterday, Asus India posted the teaser for the launch of the same on their facebook page.

Earlier: ASUS has just announced the world’s 1st 4gb RAM smartphone, Zenfone 2. It features a 1080p IPS display of 5.5 inches. It comes in five colors.It’s only 3.9mm thin on the edge, but it rounds out quite a bit from there in the middle. The smartphone is powered by a 2.3GHz processor with 4GB of RAM. It has a 5-megapixel camera up front, 13-megapixel on the back. Android 5.0 with Zen UI.
In terms of connectivity, the device supports HSPA, 4G LTE Category 4 (FDD and TDD), WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0, NFC, micro USB, GPS/A-GPS, GLONASS and USB OTG.
It has a 3,000mAh Li-polymer battery along with fast charging technology. The phone is available in five colours namely Osmium Black, Sheer Gold, Glacier Gray, Glamor Red and Ceramic White.
Zenfone 2 starts at $199 and will be available in March.

A new teaser from ASUS has revealed that CES 2015 will bring with it a new ZenFone with a unique camera feature. The new teaser posted to the official ASUS Facebook page offers brief glimpses at the front and back of a smartphone, as well as some close-ups of its rear camera setup.

It’s unclear if those two camera will be used to take 3D pictures, or for better focus and post processing effect, just like in the HTC One (M8). Last year, ASUS brought a line of ZenFone smartphones with it to CES.
Earlier this month, Asus had launched the Zenfone 5 Lite A502CG smartphone in the Indian market. The Asus Zenfone 5 Lite A502CG features a 5-inch qHD IPS display. The phone is powered by 1.2GHz dual-core Intel Atom Z2520 processor and comes with 1GB of RAM, 8GB of internal storage and microSD card slot.
Asus had also bought in the Padfone mini android device to India which comes with the 4 inched smartphone which can be docked into a 7 inched Padfone station with the dual sim card slot. The best part of Asus is that the Zenfone series has kicked off well and company is getting great response from these range of devices.
