Asus starts rolling Android Nougat update to its Zenfone 3 Smartphone

Earlier this year we have seen Asus suspending the Android Nougat update to its Zenfone 3 due to some bugs, and now the company has started rolling the update to the device after fixing those bugs. This update is hitting the devices with model number ZE552KL and ZE520KL which will also bring many changes and updates to the device that includes the addition of bundled notifications switch and improved touch performance.

The size of the update is 1.5GB which has to be downloaded and then installed. If you have not received the update yet, you can always go to the settings of the device and check for it manually by selecting the about phone section where you can find the phone update section. Before you download the update check if there is enough space on the device and try using Wi-Fi to save the data charges. Make sure the charge on the handset is at least 50 percentage before you start installing the update and do back up all the required data.

The phone comes with a 5.50-inch touchscreen display with a resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels giving a pixel density of 480 pixels per inch. The handset is powered by 2GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor coupled with 4GB of RAM. On the rear, there is a 3000mAH non-removable battery to power the handset. The onboard memory of the device is 64GB which can be further extended up to 128GB via microSD card slot. There is a 16MP camera sensor on the rear, and it is accompanied with an 8MP selfie camera.

There are few changelogs like a launcher app menu that will show on the screen after upgrading. This is for the user who uses Easy mode, and they need to select the default launcher again. Did you receive the update? Do let us know if we have missed any change logs and comment in the section if you have more queries on the same.
