Asus Transformer Pad TF300T gets Minor OTA Update with Improved Stability
Majority of the manufacturers are struggling to bring the Jelly Bean update for their newest devices but Asus taking the advantage of their partnership with Google has managed to sneak in the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean to mid-range Transformer Pad TF300T few weeks back. Still not many tablets have been update to Jelly Bean 4.1. If you haven’t updated with Jelly Bean, then you are missing good features.
As we see, a new software update for the Transformer Pad TF300T is available. There is the availability of a minor Over the Air update for the tablet and the update version is said to be 10.4.2.13. It claims that it improves stability as said on the Asus forums. While it’s not clear that what updates & improvements it brings from the previous version but we assume that this is a typical maintenance upgrade which will eliminates the bugs and errors.
Asus might have sent you an update notification on your device about the availability of this update. If you have received such notifications then you can directly follow the instructions via the message provided. Users who haven’t received this notification, they can do it manually by going through Settings > About Tablet and Software Update. Before updating your device you should ensure to backup your device and make sure that you have more than 50 % battery life on your tablet PC. Its required that you should be connected to internet for download of updates and it will approximately take 10 minutes of time estimated. Users can postpone the time of update.
