Two Asus Zenfone 3 Variants with 3GB RAM & Android Marshmallow Surfaced on GFXBench

Last year we saw Asus launching various smartphone variants in its Zenfone 2 lineup. Now, the company is all set to unveil its Zenfone 3 lineup of devices and is expected to be unveiled at the MWC 2016 event slated to be held in Barcelona. The recent rumors suggest that all the Zenfone 3 series smartphones will sport fingerprint sensors and will also come with USB Type-C ports. Today, two new devices from Asus with model numbers Asus Z010DD and Asus Z012D were spotted on GFXBench listing and we can expect them to be the Zenfone 3 variants.

As per the GFXBench listing, the Asus Z010DD will feature a large phablet-sized 5.9-inch (1280×720 pixels) HD display and will come powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 octa-core processor clocked at 1.5GHz paired with Adreno 405 GPU and 3GB of RAM. On the camera front, the smartphone will sport a 13MP rear camera with LED flash and a 5MP front-facing shooter for video chats and selfie lovers. It includes connectivity options like 4G-LTE, GPS, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and is expected to run on latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box.

On the other hand, the Asus Z012D features smaller display and will come with even better specifications. The smartphone will flaunt a 5.5-inch (1080×1920 pixels) full-HD display offering a pixel density of 401ppi. Under the hood, it will pack Snapdragon 650 64-bit hexa-core processor clocked at 1.7GHz paired with Adreno 510 GPU. The device will come with 3GB of RAM, 32Gb of built-in storage and is also expected to run on Android 6.0 Marshmallow.

Apart from this, no other information about the devices is revealed. At this time, we cannot confirm any of the above-mentioned details and advise you take this with a proverbial pinch of salt. To recall, Asus has recently launched a new smartphone under its Pegasus series called as Asus Pegasus 5000 in China. The device comes with 2GB RAM/3GB RAM and is priced at $197 and $273 respectively. The Pegasus 5000 features 5.5-inch (1080p) display, 64-bit MediaTek MT6753 octa-core SoC, 16GB of built-in storage, 13MP main camera, 5MP front snapper, 4850mAh battery and runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop out of the box.
