Kingo Android Root 1.0.8, which I downloaded from magorgeeks, successfully rooted my Blu Dash 3.5, model D170a.

Previous versions did NOT work, but the new scripts have been added, and its FREE.

root verified by super user and “root checker basic”, free from google play

Its not a bad phone, my only complaint would be support. I rooted my Blu Dash and flashed it with the wrong boot.img. Instead of using the D160a software, I flashed with the D170 software (a foolish mistake I know). Been trying ever since to obtain the factory firmware for the BLU Dash 3.5 D160a but to no avail. Kinda frustrating since i’ve exhausted almost every option including contacting the company for support.
