Micromax has been expanding its 4G-LTE range of devices in the recent times as the demand for the 4G-LTE supported devices in the country is rising. Today, the brand has released an affordable 4G-LTE enabled handset called as Micromax Canvas Amaze 4G in India. The smartphone is the successor of Micromax Canvas Amaze that launched last year in November. The Canvas Amaze 4G is currently listed on the company’s official site, and the person’s who are interested can register right away. The smartphone is expected to go sale soon and will be available via both offline and online platforms across the country.
Coming to the specifications part, the Canvas Amaze 4G flaunts a 5-inch (1280×720 pixels) HD IPS display with 294ppi as pixel density and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 laid on top of it for protection. Under the hood, it comes equipped with 64-bit Snapdragon 410 quad-core processor clocked at 1.2GHz clubbed with Adreno 306 GPU and 1GB of RAM while the earlier launched Micromax Canvas Amaze that is powered by MediaTek 6580 quad-core SoC and higher 2GB of RAM.
The smartphone comes with 8GB of onboard storage and also includes a microSD card slot for further expansion upto 32GB. On the camera front, the device sports an 8MP autofocus rear camera with LED flash and a 2MP front snapper for video calling and selfie clicks when compared to its predecessor that features slightly better 13MP and 5MP primary and secondary shooters. The smartphone supports dual sim dual standby and runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop out of the box.
Connectivity options on the device include 4G-LTE, Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi, GPS/A-GPS and microUSB 2.0 port. Interestingly, the smartphone is Cat 4 LTE enabled that supports download speeds upto 150mbps and upload speeds upto 50mbps. The handset comes backed by a 2230mAh battery that is rated to deliver upto 7 hours of talk time and upto 160 hours of standby time. The company is yet to reveal the pricing details of the Canvas Amaze 4G, we can expect it to be priced on the lower side considering the low-end specifications.
