Caterpillar Cat B 10 DustProof & WaterProof Phone with IP67 Certification

If you are among those workers who work at construction jobs and in and around with dust all the time, then a water proof and the dust proof phone is your need. While in today era smartphones looks definitely good and also there are few suitable phones suited to your work environment. We have earlier spotted Samsung Galaxy XCover and Motorola Defy + smartphone which are waterproof phones. Another one adds to the line with Caterpillar announcing rugged phone. Let’s go through the specifications of Cat B10.

Caterpillar has just announced their new Cat B10 smartphone which comes with IP 67 certifications of being a rugged water proof and dust proof smartphones. With likes of that its also get the power of the latest booming Android operating system by Google.

Coming to the specifications of this smartphones it’s powered with single core 800 Mhz processor which is just good enough to powerful multi tasking at a far speed. It has 3.2 inches display screen using the Asahi Glass which is similar to Corning Gorilla Glass display but different and it should be performing like Gorilla Glass. It comes with 5 mega pixel camera on the rear side to take photos and videos as well. This also has front facing camera which can be used for video chat and video calls. The Android version included in this smartphone is usually Android 2.3.5 Gingerbread operating system. We have been told that this phone will receive the Android 4.0 update at some time but we keep our finger crossed on this as we find that hardware might be incompatible to run Android Ice Cream Sandwich.

This phone more often takes on the likes of Casio G’zone Commando smartphones and it might easily win on that. This phone measures a one in thickness and the most notable part of this phone is that it has physical Call and end  buttons at the bottom along with capacitive touch buttons of Menu, Search and back.

Cat B 10 smartphone will be made available in the worldwide market at the end of May and the price of this is set below € 380 or at $ 500 off contract. We didn’t find much information on the carrier support as of now but we will find out more about this gadget once the phone is about to launch.
