Battery Charge for Android phones is always an issue and all thanks to developers who are here with a workaround for all the Samsung Galaxy Nexus users after applying which you will be able to increase the battery life of the device marginally and also not just that, the device will charge faster than ever. Please note that this trick is not officially recommended by Samsung or Google but it’s just third party developers who have come up with this work around. There is no harm what so ever for performing this step. But wait for this to be possible, Developers first need to add the kernel which we will be providing in the due course of this article. All the batteries generally charges from 0 – 70% but unfortunately due to many reasons on related to the software or firmware files the battery charging time becomes very high.
Basically the kernel which we will be checking out allows you to toggle the fast charge. This also works for MHL, HOWEVER you will most likely still be limited by the MHL adapter itself. With modification to the MHL adapter (splice in an additional charger) plus this mod, bunklung was able to charge at ~600-700 mA while mirroring and streaming. Please note that there will be a force close error once when the charge is toggled. Please note that as of now there is no flashable zip file for the normal users or any direct patch installation file. Though there are many techniques for increasing the efficiency like custom ROM firmwares etc. which we will see more in the coming days to come.
If you do end up running a kernel with this patch applied, there is an application you still have to use to enable the Force AC charging called Incredicontrol. For more details on the development you can visit the Source link mentioned at the end of this article. So, if you are a developer, we hope that you will make use of this kernel for normal consumers and just in case if you are a consumer then we will surely keep an eye on this story and as in when it arrives we will surely come up with a detailed article. We just hope that this technique will also be extended to other Android smartphones as well. Do share with us in the comments section just in case if you face any issues as we will be more than happy to help you out.
