Coby Kyros MID1060 10-inch Android Tablet with Amlogic CPU – Specs and Pictures

Coby has been developing various Android devices all round the year, and last year they had come up with 6 Android tablets during the Consumer Electronic Show, none of which would reach the specs their new tablet device Coby Kyros MID1060 has within itself. The 10-inch Android Tablet is going to come with a Dual-core AML8726-MX Amlogic CPU, and the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system.

The 10.1 inch capacitive touchscreen of the Coby Kyros MID1060 has a screen resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels and the Amlogic AM8726 processor doesn’t provide a real blazing speed but the performance on the other devices using the same chipset has been good. At least with this chipset, this tablet by Coby would be better performing than the previous ones from the same manufacturer.

The Coby Kyros MID1060 would have 1GB of storage, 802.11b/g/n WiFi, a mini HDMI port, microUSB port, and a built-in mic, a speaker, and camers on the front and back of the tablet. There is no confirmation yet about the pricing of the tablet, but the expectation is of around $250 for the tablet device which has Wi-Fi as the connectivity option. The tablet device looks quite sturdy but the placement of the camera on the rear side is something like what we see on the smaller smartphones, and we see no catch in it.

The tablet as of now has passed the FCC, and the leaked pictures and specs are quite strong to say it’s coming soon into the market, and Coby has been a brand known to launch inexpensive tablets, so we surely won’t see any surprising price for the MID1060 too.
