Dell launched a new entry level tablet ‘Venue 7 3741‘ in India with 3G and voice calling features. The tablet comes with single SIM option and priced at Rs. 7,999. Dell recently launched its first rugged tablet in the US. It runs Windows platform and got IP-65 Certified which makes it both water and dust resistance device.
During the launch, P. Krishnakumar, VP of Consumer and Small Business, Dell India said, “The Venue 7 3741 tablet is for those who are looking to consume information at ease, with a high level of performance. With the goal to further expand our reach to a larger consumer base across India and increase access to connectivity, the Venue 7 3741 offers an affordable solution to consumers looking for access to content on the go.”
It sports a 6.95-inch HD (1024×600) display with a pixel density of 170ppi and powered by an Intel Atom Z3735G quad-core processor clocked at 1.8Ghz with 1GB of LPDDR3 RAM. It has 8GB of internal storage out of which about 3.3GB is actually available to the end user; the tablet also come equipped with a microSD card slot for storage expansion up to 64GB.
The tablet runs on Android 4.4 KitKat and comes with a 4,100mAh Li-ion battery. Coming to the camera, it has a 2MP rear camera with no Flash and a 0.3MP front camera. The Connectivity offers include 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0 and microUSB 2.0. The sensors on this tablet include proximity sensor and accelerometer. It measures 199 x 103 x 9.85 mm and weighs 315 grams.
