Heads up for Android developers as in the latest, Samsung has unveiled newer version of S-Pen SDK dubbed as 2.2.5 and is now available for download. If you are a developer then you can now make use of the same to further enhance the Galaxy note series of smart phablets by coming out with some innovative features which can then be pushed to the Galaxy Note devices via PLAY Store but if you are a user then you will have to wait for few days till you get to see some freshly brewed applications based on this SDK so that you can make the most of your S Pen. With features like Multi-Window in Galaxy Note II, multiple apps can be loaded across multiple windows which actually provides more flexibility just like multi-tasking capability in PC.
Changelog of SPen SDK 2.2.5:
- Unnecessary and duplicate APIs have been deprecated, and the names of some APIs have been changed.
- Deprecated methods can be used in the previous 2.2 version and the current version, but they will be removed in future versions
- This SDK includes 20 sample apps for you to use in your own applications and you can now quickly refer to the samples from http://developer.samsung.com/s-pen-sdk/samples.
The S-Pen SDK library can now be integrated into the apps directly and for making the integration of S-Pen and Unity much more-simpler, the S Pen SDK unity Extension is available as a simple zip file which is dubbed as Unity Plugin which can be downloaded from http://developer.samsung.com/s-pen-sdk/unity-extension.
