EMobile Huawei Ascend P1 GS-03 Gets Software Update in Japan
EMobile is a less known data service provider in Japan and today they have started rolling out software update to Huawei Ascend P1 GS03 Android smart phone. GS 03 is popularly known as the Huawei Ascend P1 the quad core phone which was announced earlier this year. This device is available in Japan since June 2012. The devices comes pre-installed with Android 4.0.3 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system and this is the first OTA update for the device on EMobile network.
Among the improvements and enhancements included in this update are –
- Provides device stability
- Introduces the Google Chrome web browser for Android
- Improves the device stability
Built number as shown on your device after the update will be U9200-92V100R001C26B221. You can check this on your device by going through Menu > Settings and About Phone which will show you the software version, Android version, built number, kernel version included.
How to Update
The overall update file size is 65 MB and this is available for download via 3G as well and the Wi Fi internet access on your device. Before you proceed with the update you should take the backup of your device. Once you have taken the backup by any of the method that you know, you can proceed with the device update.
Update via Wi Fi: If you are updating your device with the incoming Wi Fi, you should go through Menu > Settings > About Phone and then tap on Check Now. The phone will be then connected to the Huawei server for the reply and on the pop you need to tap on Download. Once the files are download, you need to tap on Install button to apply the updates on to your smart phone.
Update via 3G: For updating your device via 3G, you should be patient as it will take little bit of more time.
