Find Mac Address of Android Devices for Mac Filtering

WiFiIf you are the one who uses an Android phone then you will now be able to find the MAC address of your Android device which can then be used for various applications out of which the most one is the Mac filtering. All you need to have is just a WiFi connection and an access to it. Please note that the Mac address can be found very easily in any Android phone as shown in the below procedure. MAC Address is basically nothing but the unique hardware address of any Wireless or any Ethernet capable device.

Procedure to find the Mac address in Android Mobile Phone:

  • First up, you will first need to tap on the Menu Key and then just go to Settings.

  • Now just tap on the Wireless & networks as shown in the below screen shot.

  • Now just tap on the Wi-Fi Settings as shown below. Now, in the advance settings, you can see that the MAC Address for your console will be displayed.

That’s it, so in this way you can easily find the Mac address of the WiFi on your Android mobile phone very easily by following the above procedure. Please note that this tip will work in every android phone.

    I understand that there is a key sequence that pops up the MAC address but i cannot find it.

  12. Yes, Jit Tan is correct. Also on Android 3.x you go to Settings / About Tablet / Status and it will list the Wi-Fi MAC address and Bluetooth address there.

  13. I found out how to retrieve the MAC address of my new Samsung Galaxy S2 by going to applications and scrolling down to “About phone” then “Status” and finally scrolling down to “WiFi MAC address”
