Ever heard of a free Phone? No, am seriously not talking about any of contests or even Luck by Chance. In the world of CDMA phones, the free phone season is back and this time it’s the MTS India telephony along with HTC which is going to make it happen, if you are an Indian then you can never forget free CDMA phone which was provided to the users by Reliance India Mobile in the past years of 2004 but was taken off in a short time.
Features and Specifications:
If we look at the features and specifications then this phone comes with a 3.2 inched screen with a resolution of 320 x 480 pixels with Sense UI, multi touch support capability, accelerometer, trackball, WiFi with 802.11 b/g support, Bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP capability, HSDPA capability with a max. speeds of up to 7.2 Mbps etc. Also, additionally this phone also has a 5MP camera with auto focus capability. If we talk of memory and battery then this phone comes with a powerful 528 MHz ARM11 processor, Adreno 130 GPU, Qualcomm MSM7200A chip set along with 512 MB of ROM and also practically store unlimited sms and calls log entries. This phone comes with a battery power of 1350 Mah this phone promises to last for 8hrs of talk time on 2G network and up to 440 hours of standby. Please note that this phone doesn’t come with secondary camera. This phone comes with Android 2.1 version which can be upgraded to Android 2.2 version later.

The free smart phone which i was talking of is MTS Pulse which is a handset of HTC and the model is HTC Hero which otherwise costs Rs.18,000. Though the phone will not come at Rs.0, but yes you can own it for FREE like as i mentioned.
To own this phone, you will have to sign up for either a Rs. 1500 monthly plan or a Rs. 1000 plan. If you sign up for a Rs. 1500 plan then you will have to be on this monthly rental plan for a minimum of 12 months in which you will get 1500 Minutes which can be used for calling Local as well as National numbers and also along with this you will also get to experience MTS’s signature high speed internet of 1.5 GB per month for 12 months. After the consumption of free minutes, all local calls will be charged at 1p/2sec (30p/min.) whereas all National calls will be charged at 1p/sec and data will be charged at Rs.2/MB.
If you sign up for a Rs. 1000 plan then you will have to be on this monthly rental plan for a minimum of 13 months in which you will get 1000 Minutes which can be used for calling Local as well as National numbers and also along with this you will also get to experience MTS’s signature high speed internet of 1 GB per month for 13 months. After the consumption of free minutes, all local calls will be charged at 1p/2sec (30p/min.) whereas all National calls will be charged at 1p/sec and data will be charged at Rs.2/MB. Under this plan, for the first twelve months there will be zero rent but from the 13th month Rs.1000 monthly rental will have to be paid.
Alternatively, you can also own this handset in an upfront manner as all you need to pay is just Rs. 16,000 with or without EMI option which can be availed from ICICI Bank or from the HDFC Bank. If you choose the upfront method to own the handset then you can choose your choice of tariff plan.
This offer is currently available only in Delhi, Mumbai, Pune, Bengaluru, Chennai and in Jaipur only and will soon be extended to other places in coming days.
