G-Five a Chinese based smart phone manufacturer has no devices announced in the recent year or two and with the news of five devices launched today, they have proved that they were working on the Android products. G-Five has announced a number of Android smart phones for sale in India. Indian consumers are very much budget minded and they prefer the price over the features. Let’s go through these five device launches and their specifications.
G-Five A79 is an entry level Android smart phone loaded with a good amount of features. The phone is with 4 inches HVGA capacitive touchscreen display providing a maximum resolution of 480 x 320 pixels and it’s powered with 832 Mhz single core processor. Sadly this phone runs on the Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system and there is no word whether this would be upgraded to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich or not as the Indian manufacturers rarely push updates to their existing devices.
Interestingly G-Five A79 is with 5 mega pixel camera which can be used to take picture and record 720p HD videos. The smart phone has all the features included in any Android smart phone at this price which includes 3.5 mm headset jack, Wi Fi, 3G, Wi Fi tether and the device costs Rs 6,999.
G-Five A86 is a powerful device and it’s with 4 inches WVGA screen providing a maximum resolution of 800 x 480 pixels. This is powered with 1 Ghz single core processor and includes 512 MB RAM to power the faster browsing and better performance. Amazingly this phone will include 8 mega pixel camera on the rear side which can take photos at amazing quality and can easily record 1080p HD videos. Alongside with the rear side camera this also includes the front facing 0.3 mega pixel camera which can be used for face to face video chat and video calls.
Just like the Micromax A80 Superfone Infinity, G-Five A86 is with 2800 mAh long life battery which is never seen in any of the smart phones and it comes with Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system pre-installed on the device. G-Five A86 is priced at Rs 7,999.
G-Five I88+ further steps up in specifications as compared to the above two smart phones and it has 4.3 inches WVGA display resolution and it has 1 Ghz single core higher performance. The smart phone is with 4 GB of internal memory storage and includes 512 MB of RAM. Additionally this would include 8 mega pixel camera by which you can take the pictures at amazing quality and record HD videos at 1080p quality.
G-Five I88+ is high-end smart phone and it includes the latest operating system launched by Google which is the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich and its priced at Rs 8,999.
G-Five G95 is a high end smart phone especially tailored to work as the Phablet like Samsung Galaxy Note or the LG Optimus Vu with screen size more than 5 inches and less than 7 inches. G-Five G95 is with 5.3 inches WVGA display screen and this is good enough to compete with high range of Samsung Galaxy Note phone. Among the specifications other than the display screen size, everything remained same as that of the G-Five I88+ smart phone.
The G-Five G95 is seen with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system and it’s priced almost one third the price of Galaxy Note at Rs 9,500 and this is perhaps the cheapest Android phablet available in the market with 5+ inches display screen.
Furthermore expanding the products line, G-Five launches G3D the fifth product announced which is a high end device with 4.3 inches glass free 3D display screen possessing qHD resolution display screen. It’s a 3d phone ready to compete with HTC Evo 3D and LG Optimus 3D.
This is with additional feature of HDMI connectivity. G-Five G3D is the cheapest device with glassless 3D display screen priced at Rs 11,799.
