The Gionee Elife E7 Mini was just launched in the Indian market, while the Moto G from Motorola is available in the US market, and should hit the other stores in the coming months. Let us review which one is better to get your hands on. Both the handsets are set for a release in India in January next year, so let us see the specifications of both the handsets and compare them.
The Gionee Elife E7 Mini is flaunting a 4.7 inch HD (720 x 1280 pixels) IPS capacitive touch screen display which is slightly bigger than the Moto G’s display which is a 4.5 inch TFT HD (1280 x 720 pixels) capacitive touch screen. So there is nothing much in difference between both the devices except for Elife E7 Mini being 2 inch bigger than Moto G.
Processor and Memory Comparisons
The Gionee Elife E7 Mini that was launched earlier, is powered by a 1.7 GHz Octa-core MEdiaTek MT6592 processor coming into market to compete with Smart Phones like Samsung Galaxy Note 3, Zopo ZP998, Intex i17 and Micromax Canvas 5, which also have Octa-core processors. The Moto G is powered with a Quad-core 1.2 Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor coupled with a 1 GB RAM as it is seen in the Gionee Elife E7 Mini. Clearly we can say that the Gionee Elife E7 Mini is having an upper hand in terms of the processor.
The storage of Moto G varies as there are two variants with 8 GB and 16 GB variants which do not have a micro SD card slot and the Elife E7 Mini has only one variant of 16 GB internal storage that can be extended via microSD card.
After the Oppo N1, the Gionee Elife E7 mini is the only Smart Phone having a swivel (rotating) 13 MP camera which can record videos at 1080p. There is only on camera on this handset that can be used as both front and rear camera. It is also an autofocus camera with LED flash. The Moto G has a 5 MP camera with LED flash and a 1.3 MP front facing camera.
Even here the Gionee Elife E7 Mini’s, 13 MP camera is ahead with Moto G’s camera. Giving us better pictures with the only camera it has, making it as a 13 MP front camera too.
The Gionee Elife E7 Mini is running on Android 4.2 with Amigo User Interface (UI) on top, where as the Moto G is coming out with Android 4.3 (Jelly Bean) with a guaranteed upgrade.
The Elife E7 Mini is packing a built in battery of 2100 mAh, which is non removable and the Moto G is powered with 2070 mAh battery. There no significant difference between both.
The Gionee Elife E7 Mini will be shipping in to India with a price tag of 18,999, where as it is $179 (INR 11,000) for 8 GB and $199 (INR 12000) for 16 GB variants which is rather cheaper. As for now Moto G is selling outside India and expected to be released in the month of January, but we are not sure of the pricing yet.
The connectivity options again don’t differ much, but the actual major difference which one would really keep in mind is the Dual-SIM feature in the Elife E7 Mini which could be handy for many, while the Moto G users have an option to place just one Micro SIM.
The Moto G’s back cover is removable and can be replaced by blue, teal, red, yellow, purple, white and black colors, giving the users more options.
So these are some of the comparisons between the two handsets Gionee Elife E7 Mini and Moto G. since both are set for a release in India, which one would you prefer, the more colorful and cheaper Moto G or Gionee Elife E7 Mini with better specifications?
