Earlier this month, Gionee teased about the launch of its upcoming S6 smartphone that is scheduled for November 16. Now, a new smartphone from Gionee dubbed as Gionee GN8001 has been surfaced online on Chinese certification website TENAA revealing the high-end specs of the device.
As per the TENAA listing, the Gionee GN8001 will feature a 6.0-inch phablet sized (1920×1080 pixels) Full-HD AMOLED display. It comes powered by an unspecified octa-core processor clocked at 1.3GHz coupled with 3GB RAM, 32GB built-in storage and a microSD card slot for expansion upto 128GB.
On the camera cordon, the device is expected to sport a 13MP or 8MP rear camera with LED flash and a 5MP front-facing shooter for selfie lovers. The smartphone comes with connectivity options like 4G-LTE, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS and microUSB port. We can also expect a fingerprint scanner embedded in the physical home button placed on the front side.
The smartphone runs on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop out of the box, and the battery details of the device are not yet revealed. The dimensions of the handset measure 160.7 × 81 × 8.2 mm weigh around 206 grams and will be available in the Silver color variant. Although the company officially confirms nothing, as TENAA certifies it we can expect the device to be announced by Gionee soon. Stay tuned for more details in coming days!
