Finally, Google launched its flagship smartphone this year. Pixel and Pixel XL smartphones, both are launched after so many rumours and leaks. Now we have each and every detail of both smartphones along with the price. The Pixel has been priced at &649 for 32GB model while for 128GB it’s $749. The Pixel XL has been priced at $769 while 128GB model of it is priced at $869. It will be available in US, UK, Australia, Canada and Germany this month. And these smartphones will be available in India next month on Flipkart, Reliance Digital and Croma store.
Talking about the specification of these smartphones, the Pixel comes with a 5-inch FHD display along with Gorilla Glass 4 protection while the Pixel XL comes with a 5.5-inch QHD display. Both devices have different display size while other specifications are same on both. These two comes with a Quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor along with an Adreno GPU. There is 4GB of RAM on board along with 32GB and 128GB internal storage as we have mentioned earlier. And there is no SD card support.
Talking about camera, both comes with a 12-megapixel camera at back with a f/2.0 aperture with optical image stabilisation. There is an 8MP front shooter as well. Right now these two comes with the latest operating system by Google that is Android Nougat. And both will receive instant updates and support directly from Google. Pixel comes with a 2,770mAh battery while Pixel XL has a slightly bigger battery because of the bigger screen and has a 3,450mAh battery out of the box.
Apart from these two smartphones, Google also launched DayDream Virtual Reality headset with a price tag of $79. It was announced earlier at Google I/O event and works with both Pixel smartphones.
