How to Hard Reset the Samsung Galaxy S Mobile

With resetting your mobile phone you get increase in space and importantly increase in speed. Now a reset to your mobile phone will delete all the data which are stored in your phone memory like media files, contacts, messages and others media files with settings, good thing is there will be no delete of data from the microSD card.

The soft reset of your mobile restores your mobile to its factory settings but if you are not able to do soft reset then what do you do? Don’t worry you can do a hard reset on your mobile phone. Here is the procedure on how to hard reset your Samsung Galaxy S mobile phone with step by step instructions.

  1. Turn of your mobile phone and reinsert the battery.
  2. Continuously hold the Volume Down button.
  3. Press and release the power button.
  4. You would be presented with the options like Fastbook, Recovery, Simlock and clear storage and now release the Volume Down button.
  5. Select the Clear Storage by pressing download the Volume Down button.
  6. Press and release the power button.
  7. Now confirm your decision: Volume Up for Yes and Volume Down for No.

So select YES to delete all the data including the third party applications from your Samsung Galaxy S. It will automatically reboot when the process is successful.

Updates :

You can easily wipe off the date from your mobile phone by selecting Menu > Settings > Privacy  and then select Factory data reset to erase all the data present in your mobile phone which is not recoverable.
