As discussed in the last articles we saw how to tether using PDANet and easy tether, so what’s the difference between the both. No need to analyze as we are here to present the same in a simple and easy manner. While PDA net will cost around 30$, easy tether will cost you around 10$. While easy tether offers you a trial period for a week’s time while PDANet lets you use a version that restricts HTTPS access for free, then charges for the full upgrade. Most of the cellular operators in US offers costlier tethering option if chosen one out of both tethering option then i would suggest to stay away from the cellular operator’s tethering option as the same cost can be recovered within 1-2 months depending upon your selection.
While PDANet offers Bluetooth based connection to you, easy tethering provides the USB connectivity. Now, if we look at the speed of data transfer after tethering then the speed just scales less than 2.5Mbps in download for easy tether and marginally less in PDANet tethering tool. There were many compatibility issues reported with PDANet but easy tether supports Android devices versions greater than Android versions of 1.5.While Tether downloads for free in the Android Market place but it asks for the license after the expiry of the trial period. Also if you are a MAC user then easy tether is not for you but if you are a windows or a Ubuntu user then PDA net is best suited for you.
