How to Root Samsung Galaxy Ace GT 5830 Tutorial
Disclaimer: We should not be held responsible for any sorts of bricking the phone but if you don’t follow the below mentioned instructions carefully then there’s a high probability that you may end up bricking the device. Also, as we have mentioned above, rooting the phone will void the warranty, though it can be re-claimed once you un root the device. So, let’s proceed and see on how you can root your Samsung Galaxy Ace GT 5830, just follow the below mentioned instructions carefully,
Pre Root Instructions:
- First and foremost note that warranty will get void once you root Samsung Galaxy Ace GT 5830, though warranty can be claimed once you un root your device.
- In an unlikely event you may lose all the data which is present in your Galaxy S2, so it’s recommended to create a backup of all the data like call log, messages, applications, music, videos and other data which is present in the phone, so that you can restore the same once the rooting process is completed.
- Ensure that you have the installed the latest framework in your computer or also you can install the latest version of KIES which is dubbed as KIES 2 so as to ensure that all the required drivers are installed successfully.
- It’s very important to maintain a minimum battery power of 50% so as to facilitate the smoother rooting process or else there is a high possibility that your device may end up turning completely off in the process of rooting.
- Since the process of rooting will be taking place, all the APN settings with which you access the Internet will be wiped off completely, so ensure that you have noted all the required settings for accessing the internet so that you can configure them again back once the device gets rooted.
- Don’t proceed to the rooting process if you have not updated your phone’s firmware to XXKP9 as this may create un necessary force close errors in the phone which would require you to completely wipe the device which is bit of a tedious and unwanted process.
- Last but not the least follow the below mentioned instructions carefully so as to save your phone from being turned into an expensive paper weight. Also, last but not the least we should not be held responsible for any problem occurred in your device as you are unlikely to face any issues if you follow the procedure which is mentioned below.

Im sorry but im new with this. SO i dwnloaded the zip file put it in the mass storage then i turned off my phone, entered recovery mode then i enter UPDATE FROM SD CARD and all it says is cannot find install package >.<

Works fine, after root I can intall apps to SD using app exaple a2sd froyo.
Ace has only 180 MB internal memory.

Neal, i just bought a Galaxy Ace S5830 and i have 2 basic problems with it! I know here you are writing stuff about rooting it but i am hoping that maybe you can help!
1.When i have my phone switched off the alarm wont ring!..
2.When i receive an sms it only shows the time i received it and not the time they sent it to me!…

Ans 1 – Its a phone issue as its programmed that way!
Ans 2- again its a firmware specific issue and since the “time stamp” doesn’t come by default with the phone you will have to manually install the apk to get that time!
Ans 3- We have taken down your request, we hope to address you really soon in the 2nd case and in the first case we are sorry to say that in off state the Alarm can’t be activated as of now with your firmware!

I tried rooting my phone. Just the way you explained. But it aint workin for me when u do apply sdcard:update.zip. The message i get is

to my knowledge, nothing can root a samsung galaxy ace 2.3.4 on DDKQ3…. and i also think it is the case generally re 2.3.4 on samsung galaxy ace.
i see a lot of videos about it, but they requires firmware upgrades…
hey neal, 2 things, which i have soke to my mobile supplier about with no luck…..
1. if i download a foto from internet/facebook etc or i save(to sd card) an mms foto, and i either switch off fonr or delete the original mms txt, the foto dissappears from the “downlaod” folder.
2. this may not be the case but, if i use the facebook for android app(even downloaded from either apps store or facebook itself, and use the app, i lose the sync and all data that i got from google calendar.

thats is crap … the fact that the SUPERUSER app is shown does not mean the phone is rooted. You need to actually use n app that requires a rooted phone to verify. Many of these processses actually install theapp (not 100%) but the phone is NOT ROOTED…

hi my ace cant get into recovery mode. i have tried and it shows a page showing “SAMSUNG” and then the sansung site URL below it. this is positioned in the middle of the screen and at the top left hand of the screew there is another box. i am not sure but it is stuck there. what do i do?
