After updating is finished in your device then you can easily restore them back into the device.

    my build number :

  2. I am Having A issue with getting back into my EEE pad I set a screen password and the Directions told me I need It least 1 Letter so i did. When i restarted the Pad I got A Key pad like on A phone but you cant get to the Letters only numbers so I am locked out!!! Help!!!

  3. The only “issue” is that the person who wrote these instructions does not speak English well enough to do so!!!! Half the instructions are filled with run-on, redundant, uselessly worded sentences. Fix this and maybe people will be able to understand what it is you are trying to say!

  4. We have 2 Transformer. Mine got the 3.1 update in June but when I
check my wife’s update, it says no update available.
I thought it was an automatic thing?

  5. Like the others … i tried to copy to the external SD card as said and no sucess … can’t copy to te root of SD internal card …

can i safely root my eee pad transformer without loosing my waranty ?!

you guys must be wannabes! It’s obvious that you don’t know from first hand experience what you are talking about, just guessing.

To update Android the file has to be on the root of the boot device which is NOT the removable SD Card it has to be on the internal SD card. And in order to get access to that you have to root the device.

  7. The process works fine but the update did not work. I am still stuck on version 3.0.1. Any ideas how to upgrade to 3.1 from here please?

  8. Tried it 4 times per your instructions and 4 times it did not work. Your instructions refer to a file to copy, when there are multiple files and no specifics to exactly what files and where to copy them.
this info doesnt match up with reality

    • Open the rar file where you should see an “asus” directory and inside it, the true update file (still as a rar/zip file). DONT extract that file! it should remain as a compressed file. now get it out into your PC and then copy it to the memory card you inserted into the tablet (just use your cellphone sd card). Now you need to turn off the tablet and press the “On” and “Down” buttons together until you`ll see the code lines asking to press “up” for the kernel boot (press the “up” button when it appears). now wait for the system to boot and then press the “Update” option when it appears on your task bar. DONE (i know it looks like a half-assed process from the DOS days but thats what we have…)
