HTC One S with 1.7Ghz Qualcomm S3 Processor to Launch in India

The HTC One X and HTC One V smartphones in the high end and mid range of smartphones have completely been on the top right since when they are launched. Truely One Series of smartphones by HTC which are announced this year are gorgeously designed handsets with amazing features and one who had got hang of it during the Mobile World Congress would have obviously that the same. But you can try out these smartphones at the nearest retailer around you as both One X and One V are available at a price tag of Rs 37,000 and Rs 17,000 respectively.HTC One S
Just when Samsung Galaxy S III is launched its time for HTC to come out with One S smartphone in India.  We know One S smartphone is available internationally in various countries but the launch of it got  delayed in India. So what was the reason behind the delay? Yes, we came to now of that now it would be  coming out with slight modifications in the processor compartment as it would be replaced with the Qualcomm S3 dual core processor clocked at 1.7 Ghz rather than 1.5 Ghz S4 processor as its available with the international variants of the One S and as announced by HTC at Mobile World Congress. So that is 0.2 Ghz improvement over the clock speed but just little sacrifice of S3 instead of the latest S4 Qualcomm processor. Moreover this would be the first device to boost dual core 1.7 Ghz processor although there are handsets with quad core but considering the dual core segment this would be the best fit smartphone competing with Samsung Galaxy S II. So we have a strong competitor of Samsung Galaxy S II oflate.HTC One X
Refreshing the specifications of the HTC One S smartphone, we know that it would be powered with dual core 1.7 Ghz Qualcomm S3 processor and it would boost with 4.3 inches Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen display HTC Sense 4 user interface, one of the best user interface that we have seen and One series of smartphones by HTC truly are world class in user interface and user optimization. Provided with 8 mega pixel camera with Image Sense for better image capture and varied functions for video and image capturing. Truely enhancing is the 1080p HD video recording at 30 fps. Also present is the VGA front facing camera. The One Series of smartphones are powered with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich pre installed and they are among the early devices overall with Android latest OS. It would come with 16 GB internal memory, 1 GB of RAM and micro SD card slot to expand the memory further more. It would be powered with 1650 mAh Lithium Polymer battery which would provide enough battery life to this smartphone. Also included are the Corning Gorilla Glass display, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, DLNA, Wi-Fi hotspot, dimensions as 130.9 x 65 x 7.8 mm and weight 120 grams.

HTC Corporation India is ready to make this device available through various retailer around India by next week.

  1. Perhaps the reason why HTC is losing out in most markets is its non removable batteries. There is no way for you to turn the phone off so the Feds can eavesdrop any time, all the time.

Just switching to S3 processor will take more power, overclocking it is just plain stupid, imagine the battery life deterioration. Add that to the non-removable battery and you’ve got a major fail by HTC :/ I was really looking forward to this phone. Such a disappointment.

  3. GOOD move by HTC

  4. GOOD move by HTC

  5. They should make it 2 Ghz like my old PC.
