HTC has launched number of high-end devices this year, the list started with One M9 and followed by One E9, One M9+, One E9+ and few others. There are rumours that HTC will be launching another high-end device HTC Hima Ace aka One ME9 in the next month. Now, HTC is getting ready to launch a mid-range Desire series smartphone with model number ‘HTC A50C’ as quoted Upleaks.
The upcoming Desire smartphones will sport a 5.5-inch HD (1280×720) display and will be powered by a Mediatek MT6753T octa-core processor. The clock speed of the processor is unknown. It comes with 2GB of RAM along with 16GB of internal storage and supports Dual SIM connectivity.
There is a 13MP rear camera with Samsung S5K3L2XX sensor and 5MP front-facing camera with Samsung S5K5E2YA sensor.
The device runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop based HTC Sense 7.0 UI. The phones will be available in white, black, red, orange, blue, grey, gold and other seven colours. There is no information about any other specifications and even the price or the availability of the device is also unknown.
Later to this, the HTC A50A is renamed to HTC E9sw. By comparing with that, this also may be the low-cost version of HTC E9. We can also expect it to be the HTC 826S. With the Dual SIM compatibility, we are sure that the device will not leave Asia. HTC might get better than expected results if it priced aggressively. The Desire series had given better results in India with the launch of Desire 816 and Desire 816G smartphones.
A couple of months HTC back launched the HTC Desire 820S which is the successor the Desire 820. It almost has the same specifications as of HTC A50C, but with a better processor. The HTC A50C is expected to be priced at 1,999 Yuan (approx Rs. 20,500). As TENNA already certified it, we may see the launch of the device soon in China. We will update once there is any information about the availability and the launch of the device.
