HTC Butterfly 2 is the new device from HTC that has been spotted on Taiwanese NCC that is equal to the FCC of USA. The device will be the successor of the HTC Butterfly that was released early last year. The HTC One M8 did not give the amount of success that the company was expecting but the cheaper variant of this flagship device called as the HTC One E8 has satisfied quite a number of customers, because it’s the plastic version of the HTC One M8 with a low price.
The phone carries the model number B810x and is expected to be launched in Asia soon. There was a rumor that the Butterfly series was discontinued by the company but that’s not the case now. The HTC Butterfly was the world’s first device with 1080p display and had high end specs considering its release time so we can expect its successor also to come packed with some decent and powerful specifications.
According to the rumors the Butterfly 2 will feature a quad core Snapdragon 400 chipset, Krait 400 CPU and will flaunt a 5 inch display with 1080p resolutions. Other details of the device are not yet know but can assure that it will be supporting 4G LTE networks. From the leaked images we can clearly see that the device will be coming in multiple colours like Black, White, Silver, Brown and Red so that everyone has their choice of choosing the colour. The images also reveal that this device will be featuring capacitive touch buttons, just below the screen and the back button is at the left and home screen at the right of the device. Coming to the design, it has curved edges as most of the HTC devices have.
We need to wait some official news to come from the company to more about this device and that should be happening in the coming days. The pricing and the availability of the device is not known yet since it has not been shown officially yet.
