Today, HTC has launched a new smartphone in its Butterfly series named as HTC Butterfly 3 the international variant of ‘J Butterfly’ that was earlier launched in May 2015 in Japan. The device will be available in Taiwan starting from November 1st for a price of NT$19900 (approx US$ 600).
The device features a 5.2-inch Super LCD3 QHD (1440×2560) display and to be powered by a Snapdragon 810 MSM8994 octa-core chipset along with 3GB of RAM. It has a battery of 2,700mAh capacity and internal storage of 32GB with microSD card support (up to 200GB). The smartphone can be charged from 0% to 100% in just 110 minutes.
The main highlight of the device is its camera, it sports a 20.2MP Duo camera on the rear side of the device. With this camera, the device captures the distance information and can select the focus after capturing the image. We can shoot 4K videos with this camera. Along with that, it also has the 13MP front-facing camera for a better Selfie experience.
Connectivity on the device includes Wi-Fi, 4G LTE, NFC, GPS/AGPS, Bluetooth 4.1 and microUSB port. The HTC Butterfly 3 comes in the colours Red, White and Indigo Blue with a glossy finish at the back. It also has dual front-facing speakers with Dolby audio and the device is Dustproof (IP5X) and Water-proof (IPX5/IPX7). The smartphone runs on HTC Sense 7 based on Android 5.0 Lollipop and its dimensions are 151 x 75 x 10.1 (mm) and weighs 162 grams.
