The Taiwanese smartphone maker HTC after launching HTC One E9s dual sim smartphone in India has launched yet another smartphone in India dubbed as HTC Desire 728G dual sim. The new smartphone is the variant of Desire 728 dual sim midrange 4G smartphone that launched in China earlier this month.
The Desire 728G dual sim does not support 4G-LTE and comes with dual sim support with dual GSM sims or GSM + CDMA option. Apart from this other significant differences between the two variants are- the Desire 728G comes with 1.5GB RAM when compared to 2GB RAM seen in the China variant. The Indian variant also runs on older 5.0.2 Lollipop when compared to the China variant that runs on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop out of the box.
Coming to its specifications, the smartphone features a 5.5-inch (1280×720 pixels) HD display and comes powered by MediaTek MT6753 octa-core processor clocked at 1.3GHz coupled with Mali-T760 GPU. It comes with 1.5GB RAM, 16GB built-in storage with microSD card slot for expansion upto 2TB. Like other HTC handsets, the new device also features HTC’s BoomSound technology with Dolby Audio to enhance the sound experience of the users.
On the camera front, it sports a 13MP rear camera with BSI sensor, LED flash, f/2.2 aperture and a 5MP front-facing shooter with a f/2.8 aperture for video-calling and selfie images. Connectivity options on the device include 3G, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPS/A-GPS and a microUSB port. As earlier said, it runs on Android 5.0.2 Lollipop based HTC Sense UI out of the box.
The smartphone comes backed by a 2800mAh battery that is rated to deliver upto 21 hours of talk time and upto 485 hours of standby time. The dimensions of the handset measure 157.9 x 77.84 x 7.87 mm and weighs around 153 grams. The HTC Desire 728G dual sim will be available in colors- White, Grey and will go on sale in India soon at Rs. 17,990.
