HTC has launched three new device in India called as Desire 820, Desire 820q and Desire 816G. The HTC Desire 820 will be the successor of the HTC desire 816. The Desire 820 has the best specification of the lot and Desire 816g is the cheaper version. The pricing of both the variants of the Desire 820 has not been enclosed but the Desire 816 is priced at Rs. 18,990. All the three have the same 13 MP camera on the rear and are capable of recording 1080p videos. The battery used to power these devices is also same.
All the three devices will be featuring the same 5.5 inch HD (1280 x 720 pixels) touch screen display. The Desire 820 series devices will be protected with Gorilla Glass 3 and will run the latest Android 4.4.4 Operating System out of the box and will have the companies own HTC Sense 6 UI on top. There is a 13 MP rear facing camera for all the three devices but the Desire 820 devices will be having an 8 MP rear camera and the Desire 816 will be featuring 5 MP cameras. All the three devices have the same 2600 mAh battery on the back.
The On-board memory of the Desire 820 devices is at 16 GB that can be extended up to a maximum of 128 GB via microSD card slot. The Desire 816g will be having an on-board memory of 8 GB that can be further extended up to 32 GB. All the devices will be powered with a Quad core processor with different clocking speeds. The HTC Desire will be powered with a (1.5 GHz Quad Core + 1 GHz Quad Core) Snapdragon 615 Octa -core processor, coupled with 2 GB of RAM. The HTC Desire 820q has a 1.2 GHz quad core Snapdragon 410 processor with 1 GB of RAM and HTC Desire 816g has a quad core 1.3 GHz coupled with 1 GB of RAM.
The HTC Desire 816g is priced at Rs. 18,990 and the pricing of the other two devices is not mentioned yet.
