The Taiwanese smartphone maker, HTC has recently launched two new smartphones dubbed as HTC One M9e and HTC One A9 with ‘Optical Image Stabilization’ (OIS) support. Now, the company is all set to launch a new smartphone under its Desire series called as HTC Desire 828 with OIS support.
Coming to its specifications, the Desire 828 flaunts a 5.5-inch (1920×1080 pixels) Full-HD IPS display with 400ppi as pixel density and comes powered by 64-bit MediaTek MT6753 octa-core processor clocked at 1.5GHz coupled with Adreno 405 GPU. It comes with 2GB RAM, 16GB onboard storage that can be further expanded via a microSD card upto 2TB.
On the camera front, the smartphone sports a 13MP autofocus rear camera with OIS support and LED flash. As per the company, this is the first device under the Desire series to feature OIS support. On the front, it features a 4MP UltraPixel Ultra-sensitive shooter with f/2.0 aperture and super wide angles. It supports dual sim dual standby and connectivity options on the smartphone include 4G-LTE, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPS/A-GPS and a microUSB port.
The device is just 7.9mm thick and also features dual front-facing stereo speakers with HTC’s BoomSound technology for enhanced music and sound experience. It comes backed by a 2800mAh battery with Quick Charge support. The handset runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop based HTC Sense 6.0 UI out of the box and is available in colors- White and Grey.
The HTC Desire 828 smartphone is already available for pre-orders in China. The device is available for purchase directly from the company’s online store and is priced at 1,599 Yuan (approx $253 / Rs. 16,550).
