HTC Desire HD – Steps to Install MIUI Custom ROM Firmware

It was the Runny Mede Gingerbread custom ROM which we last saw on how you can install the same, but in this article we will see quickly on how to update your unlocked and HTC Desire HD device with the much talked about MIUI Custom ROM. An all new version of MIUI custom ROM has arrived which is dubbed as 1.12.16 and is inspired from the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich Firmware. This update comes at a time when the much awaited ICS Android 4.0 is on the cards very soon and will be available soon on androidadvices.com, so stay tuned for the same. SMS Messages – Use “SMS Backup & Restore app”,
Contacts Stored in Phone Memory – Sync with the Gmail application,
Call Log - Call Log and Restore
Videos, Images, Videos & Files etc.– Copy to internal / External SD Card,
Internet & MMS Settings – Backup all the settings from the path “Applications > Settings > Wireless and Network > Mobile Networks > Access Point Names”.

  • Note that your device is left with the minimum of 60% battery charge so as to ensure that it doesn’t get turned off in the process of firmware update.
