HTC Desire S – Steps to Install Official Android 2.3.5 Gingerbread Firmware

    Go in Settings/Power/ and turn off Fast Boot than try to enter in recovery mode…

    Hi guys,

    I’ve tried this update step by step as it is written here, but I stucked right at the beginning of the proces, as my recovery mode screen is not the same, as the above screenshot – the mentioned option “clear storage” is missing. This is what my r. m. menu looks like.

    I have tried to download the required files as stated in your post, but all the links appears to be dead.

        Managed to download files last night and apply the custom ROM. Works a treat….thanks guys {:o)

        BTw – if anyone comes accross an issue downloading apps from Android Market after applying the ROM e.g. “there is insufficient storage space on your device” error message.

        Disable Fastboot via Settings >Power.
        Goto Clockworkmod via vol- and power button, after powering down your phone.
        goto recovery option
        goto advanced option
        clear cache and clear Dalvik Cache
        Reoot, then all should be fine again.

    I am not able to see the option to “install from sdcard/zip file” in recovery mode.
    Could you please help me, I am in india and not yet seen the official update from HTC.

    When I contacted HTC, they said that you will get when we deliver it, and also they have no clue when it will be ready in india.

    After going to recovery mode, i am getting exclamatory sign with one triangle in red color. from here it is not going further.

    here i need to remove the battery to come up from here

    I’ve followed the instructions, everything works fine bar one thing. I can no longer switch off or choose to reboot when I press the sleep/on/off button. Please help.
