HTC has announced a middle-end phone with the Android OS, into the Indian market with a price that could now beat many other mid-range phones, and drag the interest towards this newly launched phone, HTC Explorer. As we talk about the mid-range phones, Samsung Galaxy Ace and the HTC Wildfire have got a good competitor here with a lesser price and quite comparable features and specifications. It has a 3.2-inch HVGA screen with a screen resolution of 480 x 320 pixels and the capacitive touchscreen.
Talking about the internal specifications, the HTC Explorer has got a 600Mhz processor and a 3-Megapixel camera and a 512MB of internal storage, and the external storage is expandable. The HTC Explorer comes with the latest HTC Sense interface, which beautifies the default interface that the Android OS provides. The latest changes to the HTC Sense have shown some improvements, and the lock screen would show a few apps which are frequently used, and which can be accessed without having to unlock the screen, and the dragging of the screen over the app icon would open the app directly.
The HTC Explorer is coming with different colors, i.e. Metallic Black, Active Black and Metallic Navy. There would be some customized backflaps as well. The launch party would be soon, and HTC is bringing this phone along with the Vodafone network, which would give its users some of the best benefits if the HTC Explorer is purchased along with Vodafone. The phone is coming with a price tag of Rs. 11650.
