Update Sep 29: Today, the Taiwanese company HTC has relaunched HTC One M9 Plus that is already available in international markets with upgraded OIS camera. The new One M9+ is launched along with Butterfly 3 and it will be available for sale starting from October 15 in Taiwan.
Earlier Apr 14 2015: HTC has officially launched the M9+ smartphone in India for Rs 52,500. The smartphone will be available for purchase starting May 3rd.
HTC has officially announced the One M9 Plus smartphone, in China. It is an upgraded version of recently launched One M9. Last week, HTC has listed the One E9 Plus smartphone on their official website.
HTC ONE M9 Plus features a 5.2-inch Quad HD display, which is slightly more than the M9. It is powered by an octa-core MediaTek MT6795T chip (2.2GHz, 64 bit) coupled with 3GB of RAM. The smartphone runs Android 5.0 Lollipop with HTC ‘China Sense’.
On the camera front, it has a UltraPixel front-facing camera, and the same 20-megapixel rear Duo camera. It also comes with the fingerprint reader below the screen, which lets you quickly unlock the phone as well as making payments. The dimensions of the phone are 150.99 x 71.99 x 9.61 mm and weighs 168 grams.
The M9 Plus comes with a 2,840 mAh integrated battery, the BoomSound front-facing stereo speakers and support for its very own Dot View case. The phone will be offered in three colors: a combination of silver and gold on the side, an all-gold one, and a gunmetal grey model.
