A couple of weeks ago, HTC launched a new smartphone dubbed as HTC One A9 with the iPhone-like design. The smartphone is also the first non-Nexus device to run on Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box and is priced at $399.99 (Rs. 26,000 approx). Now, HTC is all set to launch a new variant of HTC One A9 smartphone dubbed as HTC One A9w. The new device recently popped up on the China’s TENAA revealing the specifications and images of the smartphone.
According to TENAA listing, the HTC A9w sports similar design like HTC One A9 and also comes with similar specifications with slight modifications. The One A9w features a 5-inch (1920×1080 pixels) Full-HD AMOLED display and is expected to come powered by Snapdragon 617 64-bit Octa-core processor coupled with 2GB RAM. The device has 16GB of onboard storage that can be further expanded using a microSD card slot upto 128GB.
The smartphone will sport a 13MP rear camera with CMOS sensor, LED flash and a 4MP UltraPixel front shooter to capture perfect selfie images. Connectivity options on the device include 4G-LTE, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPS/A-GPS and microUSB port. Like One A9, the A9w is also expected to run on Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box. Although the company officially confirms nothing, as it is certified by TENAA we can expect it to be launched soon. Stay tuned for more details.
HTC has recently launched a new mid-range smartphone under its Desire series called as HTC Desire 828 priced at 1,599 Yuan (approx $253 / Rs. 16,550). The smartphone features a 5.5-inch FHD display, MediaTek MT6753 SoC, 2GB RAM, 16GB onboard storage, 13MP rear camera with OIS support, 4MP front shooter and 2800mAh battery with quick charge support. The smartphone supports 4G-LTE connectivity and runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop OS.
