Download HTC One Jellybean 4.2.2 Android OS with Refreshed Feature List Bump

For a 15% market share, HTC seems to be trying to push hard as in the latest, it’s said to bring in the latest and much awaited Jellybean 4.2.2 Android version for HTC One smartphone. So, just to add a pinch of excitement, let’s check out on what are the TOP 5 features which it will be coming out with. All thanks to the folks at android revolution who have got the list of things which will be coming out. We will be elaborating on each and every new feature. After a whopping success of Samsung Galaxy S4 smartphone as it has announced that it has sold over 10 Million units, htc too sees the opportunity in smartphone segment.

The only issue with the HTC is that despite making one of the best smartphones, the issue is with the marketing and sales which always has remained a hassle. In the meanwhile, let’s check out on what are the new features which will be coming out in the upcoming new Jellybean 4.2.2 firmware.

a). %age Battery Icon Status:

Everyone would like to know on how much percentage of battery if left in the device not just with the help of a battery icon but with the %age number so that you exactly know on how to consume and when to plug in the charger. We have mentioned the image below on how this will be on your HTC One. You can enable it under Settings —> Power —> Show battery level.

b). Android Native EQS:

Just like the native Android Jellybean interface, HTC One too will be getting the EQS icon at the top right in the drawer which will expand all the quick settings like Brightness, Wi Fi, AIRPLANE Mode, Bluetooth, Settings, Screenshot, Sound profile and Data Connectivity options. Below image will further explain on what we are talking of.

c). Daydream:

Daydream lets your Android device display useful and delightful information when idle or docked. Show off your photo albums, get the latest news from Google Currents, and more. This feature will be all there in the latest Jellybean 4.2.2 firmware for your HTC One. You can enable the Day Dream feature in the Settings > Display option.

d). New Long Press Option:

Once you Long press the home button, it will act as the Menu button. Once you long press, you will get a pop up which you can see the same below. This is one of the popular modifications which is commonly found in most of the custom ROMs.

e). Changes in App Drawer:

Now, all the icons from the dock can be removed / modified as per your choice. As everyone was expecting the HTC Sense 5.1, it doesn’t seem to make at least in the upcoming Jellybean 4.2.2 Android OS for HTC One. Jellybean 4.2.2 update for HTC One will only bring in the Sense 5.1 and not the Sense 5.2 which is a bit sad news for HTC fans.

      No you cannot since this firmware is device specific.

    Thanks for informative video!
    My update has not yet arrived… anobody knows if I can download it manually without rooting?

      Go to “About’ and ‘Check for software updates’.
      There will be a 1.47 MB ‘bug-fix’ file for download post which you will receive the 4.2.2 update(436.36 MB)
