After all the rumors and leaks the HTC One (M8) has become official and will be the successor of the HTC One that was released last year. The rumored dual rear camera is now true and the device will be coming with a 5 inch Full HD display with a quad core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor and will be running on Android 4.4 KitKat Operating System. This HTC One (M8) has come out with larger screen and more camera features and obviously better software, than its predecessor.
The noticeable feature of the new flagship from HTC is that it comes with a Duo camera, with a primary UltraPixel camera and a secondary rear camera that will help in capturing depth information. Moreover the device also has a dual LED flash that can automatically select the right tone and intensity depending upon the lighting and scene. On the other side, the device has a 5 MP camera on the front that is capable of taking 1080p videos with HDR capability, f/2.0 aperture, wide angle lens and BSI sensor.
This combination of this new Duo camera brings many new features like UFocus that uses the depth information to change the focus of the photo easily, Foregrounder feature that helps in applying many funny and artistic filters to the background of an image and much more. This HTC One (M8) has a new Zoe Camera UI (User Interface), BlinkFeed motion launch feature to unlock the screen with a swipe or double tap. The device comes with Dual front facing stereo speakers with built in amplifiers and HTC BoomSound technology and has a metal unibody with curved finish giving a royal look to it.
There are many features that got upgraded, one of them is the HTC Sense TV that will now display official Facebook and Twitter pages with the hashtags of the TV show that is been watched. There is an Auto Answer feature that allows you to answer the calls just by bringing the phone near your ear without having to touch the screen.
Coming to the specifications of the device, the HTC One (M8) boasts a 5 inch full HD display with the protection of the Corning Gorilla glass 3 on top and is powered by a 2.5 GHz/2.3 GHz quad core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor coupled with Adreno 330 GPU and 2 GB of RAM. The device will be running on the latest Android KitKat 4.4 Operating System with the HTC Sense 6.0 UI on Top. There is an UltraPixel primary camera on the rear with dual LED flash, BSI sensor and 28 mm lens and a secondary camera on the rear for capturing depth information of the images.
The internal memory on the 16 GB/ 32 GB that can be further extended up to 128 GB via micro Sd card slot. The connectivity of the device includes, 4G LTE / 3G HSPA+, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/ac/b/g/n (2.4 and 5 GHz) Bluetooth 4.0 with aptx codec, MHL, NFC and GPS. The device has infrared remote control feature and will be supporting a nano SIM. To power the device there is a 2600 mAh battery on the back which is 40% longer than the one seen in its predecessor.

The HTC One (M8) will be available across 230 operators globally around 100 countries and the roll out of the device will start before the end of April in countries like UK, Germany, France, Taiwan, Australia, China and US. The device will be coming in Glacial Silver, Gunmetal Gray and Amber Gold color variants and the pricing of the device is not yet revealed.
