Toady, HTC has launched yet another variant of the flagship HTC One M9 smartphone called as HTC One M9s in its home country Taiwan. The HTC One M9s sports similar design and specifications like the HTC One M9e smartphone that launched in China last month. The new smartphone is now up for pre-order in Taiwan priced at TWD 12,900 ($390) and will be available starting on November 21.
Coming to its specifications, the smartphone comes with a 5-inch (1080×1920 pixels) Full-HD display offering a pixel density of 440ppi. The device comes powered by Mediatek MT6795 Helio X10 64-bit Octa-core processor clocked at 2.2GHz coupled with 2GB RAM, 16GB built-in storage and microSD card slot for expansion upto 2TB. The M9s is a single-sim smartphone and runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop based HTC Sense UI out of the box.
On the photographic section, the device comes with a 13MP autofocus rear camera with BSI sensor, f/2.2 aperture, OIS (optical image stabilization), 4K video recording and dual LED flash. Interestingly, the HTC One M9s features the same camera seen on the recently launched HTC One A9 smartphone. On the front, it has a 4MP UltraPixel shooter with f/2.0 aperture for the selfie lovers. Connectivity options on the device include 4G-LTE, Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth 4.1, Infrared, DLNA, NFC and a microUSB port.
The smartphone features a full metal body and like other HTC devices also comes with dual front-facing BoomSound speakers with Dolby Audio technology for the terrific sound quality. The handset comes backed by a 2840mAh battery that can easily last for an entire day on mixed usage. The dimensions of the device measure 144.6 x 69.7 x 9.6 mm weighs around 157 grams and is available in Gold, Gunmetal Grey and Silver color variants.
