HTC has officially launched the One ME smartphone in India, today. Earlier this month, the smartphone was unveiled in China. The One ME is the first device that comes equipped with MediaTek’s latest Helio X10 processor. The smartphone has been priced at Rs 40,500 and will be available in India with select partners from end of June 2015.
HTC One ME features 5.2-inch Display with a resolution of 2560×1440 pixels. It comes with a fingerprint reader of the M9+ and the single, round 20-megapixel rear camera same as the E9+. The HTC One ME is powered by a 2.2GHz octa-core MediaTek Helio X10 processor coupled with 3GB of RAM.
The handset runs on Android Lollipop OS overlapped with HTC Sense UI. It has Dual nano SIM slots with Dual Standby and supports 4G-LTE (700 / 1800 / 2300 / 2500 / 2600 MHz) bands. The other features include 32GB of microSD slot and a 4-megapixel UltraPixel front camera. It has dimensions of 150.99 x 71.99 x 9.75 mm and weighs 155 Grams.
HTC one ME comes with a built-in 2840 mAh Li-Ion battery that is claimed to give up to 23.3 hours of 2G talk time or 13.5 hours on 3G (WCDMA). It has HTC BoomSound and Dolby Surround Stereo speakers bundled inside for enhanced audio experience. Connectivity features include Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Wi-Fi Hotspot, Dual Band, DLNA, Bluetooth V4.1, MicroUSB V2.0, GPS, 3.5mm Audio jack. HTC One ME will be sold in Rose Gold, Gold Sepia, and Meteor Gray color options.
The Mediatek Helio X10 is the most advanced chipset from the company. This 64-bit octa-core Soc (2.2GHz) can support display refresh rates of 120Hz, which is double the rate used by current smartphone chips — 60Hz. The new Helio X10 supports slow motion videos at a 480 fps. This is twice the rate used by Apple’s iPhone 6 — 240fps, which means slo-mo videos will be much better using this chip.
