HTC has made its One mini 2 official and has introduced it today. The HTC One mini 2 comes with a 4.5 inch display and is the sibling or the mini version of the HTC One (M8) that was released couple of months earlier. HTC on its blog mentioned that, this device is compact elegance with advance features tightened in to 4.5 inch display.
The HTC One mini 2 has a smaller display of 4.5 inch HD display and will be run on Android 4.4 KitKat Operating system, with Sense 6 and HTC BlinkFeed on top. The device is powered by a 1.2 GHz quad core Snapdragon 400 processor which is a downfall from the 2.3 GHz processor that we have seen in the company’s flagship model and also packs a 2100 mAh battery on the back.
The HTC One mini 2 comes with a 13 MP camera on the rear unlike the HTC One (M8) that had dual camera in the back for depth capturing of the images. The same 5 MP front facing camera has been used for high quality video calling. The handset is equipped with a microSD card slot to extend the memory and it also has the connectivity of the NFC.
Peter Chou, CEO of HTC, said that the HTC One mini 2 is the latest member of the award winning family that comes with advanced features and its size and tapered edges will fit perfectly into the pocket or purse, sitting nicely on the palm to feel it better and easier to use. The device will also feature, HTC BoomSound, HTC Zoe Highlights and Zoe sharing app that allows the users to create, remix and share the videos and photos taken from its camera.
The HTC One mini 2 will be arriving in EMEA and Asia starting next month and will be available in Gunmetal Gray, Amber Gold and Glacial Silver colour options. The availability of the device may differ by county and region.
