Price

The HTC Sensation XL has been launched in India at a price of Rs.39,990. Recently launched Android phones in India include the HTC Sensation XE and the Motorola Droid RAZR which are well under the Rs.35,000 pricing mark but the Sensation XL, seems to be the costliest. It comes with a giant 4.7 inch screen and excellent processors under the hood, and is priced considerably high.

Also note that the Motorola Droid RAZR is priced at Rs 33,990 while the Samsung Galaxy SII is at around Rs. 29,900 and the HTC Evo 3D at Rs. 34,125.

Beats by Dr. Dre

The HTC Sensation XL comes with audio from Beats by Dr. Dre, one of the most premium companies specializing in Audio technology in the world. The HTC Sensation XLcomes with Beats Audio™ inbox with custom made Beats headsets, engineered to deliver extraordinary sound. Their software is also specially tuned software and the user interface is tweaked to deliver the best mobile audio experience. Also, HTC has got Beats to make a custom earphone for the Sensation XL, which comes in the box as well. The headset has music control buttons on it as well.

In our opinion, it is quite a costly mobile phone, spite it having a 1.5Ghz processor, considering that 3D phones like the HTC Evo 3D are available at a cheaper price. Still, overall it is a good device and performs well.
Update – This mobile phone is now available at Rs 38700 (December 15, 2011).
