Huawei has launched its new MediaPad M5 Lite along with its Enjoy 9s and Enjoy 9e devices in China today. The device will be available in 4G option also and is going for sale in China starting today. The MediaPad M5 Lite 8-inch WiFi only 3GB + 32GB variant costs 1199 Yuan (approx $ 178) while the 4GB + 64 Wi-Fi only model is priced at 1399 Yuan (approx $ 208). The 3GB + 32GB with 4G is costs 1499 Yuan (approx $ 223) while the MediaPad M5 Lite 8-inch Wi-Fi 4G + 64GB model with 4G is available at 1599 (approx $ 238).
The device sports a 13MP camera sensor on the rear with autofocus f/2.2 aperture and the company has also provided with an 8MP camera on the front. The MediaPad M5 Lite will be coming out of the box with the latest Android 9.0 Pie with EMUI 9 top but nothing is known about the further updates as of now. It will be powered with an Octa-Core Kirin 710 12nm SoC coupled with 3GB / 4GB of RAM and ARM Mali-G51 MP4 GPU.
It comes with 8-inch (1200 x 1920) Full HD+ glass display on top and has a big 5100mAh battery on the rear to power it. The device will be available on 32GB as well as 64GB storage options and there is a microSD card slot to extend the storage further up to 512GB via MicroSD card slot. Furthermore, the Huawei MediaPad M5 Lite measures 204.2x 122.2x 8.2mm and weighs 310 grams. Moreover, it comes with Huawei Histen sound effects and is Harman-Kardon certified stereo speakers
It will come have the connectivity options like Bluetooth v4.2 LE, GPS, A-GPS, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac like we see on all the smart devices these days and it will also feature the necessary sensors that are required for the automation of the handset. . The MediaPad M5 Lite will be available in Dark Grey and Champagne color variants and nothing is known about the global rollout yet.
