Huawei Ascend Mate Phablet with 6.1” 1080p – Specs, Features & Pricing

Update: Huawei is working on one of the biggest phablets, which is almost a tablet device if there was an inch larger screen, and this would come straight as a challenge to the Samsung Galaxy Note II, one of the best phablets in the market right now. Being speculated as the Huawei Ascend Mate, the large screen would have a 1080p HD display, and the phone has been into talks since October but this is the first time we have got some confirmed and surprising news.

Huawei Ascend Mate 6.1

Yu Chengdong, Senior Vice President of Huawei has stated on the Chinese microblogging site named Weibo that he is using the Samsung Galaxy S II and tweeting from that device, to check and understand the differences between the Note II and the device Huawei is working on. This is primarily to understand the user experience and the overall performance of the two devices.

According to Yu, there is going to be a far better design and a more stunning display, which is likely a 6.1 inch one and the device would have a slimmer bezel and a better grip to handle. He also hinted that the phone is going to have a stronger batter with a better battery life and wanted users to wait to get their hands on this excellent device which would be the best for usage but would have a less pricing compared to the large smartphones from the other brands.

Apart from what is mentioned in the confirmed news, we have also found that the Ascend Mate would have a Hass K3V3, quad-core processor at 1.8GHz speed, with 2GB of RAM. The entry of this huge sized Phablet would certainly be revolutionary, where most of the next upcoming 1080p phones are going to have the screen size of around 5 inch.
