Huawei at CES 2012 showcased that they are now able to produce high end mobile phone and tablets and this is clearly proved by them with the unveil of Ascend P1 S mobile phone. Tagged as the world’s slimmest phone with thickness at 6.68 mm they have power packed with specifications including 4.3 inches Super AMOLED display with 960 x 540 pixel resolution coming out with Gorilla Glass display. Powered with 1.5 Ghz dual core Cortex A9 processor and the latest Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system inbuilt the specifications are matching with the high end mobile phone like Galaxy S II and Motorola Razr.
After the Huawei announcement of Ascend P1 at CES, the next day they also the launch of Ascend P1 LTE the modified version of Ascend P1 S, altogether coming up with 4G LTE capabilities to provide faster download and upload speed. The LTE version is for the US telecom operators as they are right now more hungry for the 4G ready devices. It’s not more than two days old news and Ascend P1 S is now working to bring it to Australia.
Beginning at the second quarter of 2012 Huawei Ascend P1 S will arrive Australia. It will not just be Australia consumers but also users from Europe, Asia Pacific, Middle East, China and India will be able to purchase this handset. It will power pack the same specifications as mentioned at CES 2012. Along with the launch of Ascend P1 S, Huawei also launches Ascend P1 smartphone in the Ascend smartphone series range. Ascend P1 features same functionalities by it has 7.69 inches thickness. Both the handset will be made available in various choice of colours to choose from metallic black, cherry blossom and ceramic white.
With Huawei coming up with those high end devices, previously known for low price handsets, it will be interesting to see what prices it will set for Ascend P1 S for Australia. I am sure Huawei will be trying to price a lesser than its competitor mobile phones.
